Walter Matthew Kenderski passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. He was the loving son of the late John A. and Virginia (Cisowski) Kenderski; beloved husband of 56 years to Jacqueline “Jackie” (Stadelman) Kenderski; and devoted father of Walter J. (Jennie) Kenderski, Michael (Paula) Kenderski, and Matthew (Jennifer) Kenderski. Walter was a proud and loving grandfather to Tyler, Abbie, Caroline, Isabelle, Braden, and Nathaniel.
He is also survived by his siblings Dorothy A. (the late William) Antonelli and Virginia A. (the late Sterling) Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; John A. Kenderski (survived by Donna); Victor S. (the late Eileen) Kender; Irene (the late Edward) Nahay; Joan (the late Peter) Galido; Edward Kenderski and the late Thomas J. (Surviving Spouse Roland) Kenderski. Walter is also survived by his sisters-in-law Mariann (the late Larry) Spalding and Joyce (Ted) Rogers, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Walter dedicated 35 years of service to Picker International. He was a US Air Force Veteran; a faithful member of Sacred Heart Church for over 56 years and a proud member of the Emsworth Planning Commission. In his free time, he was an avid golfer and a passionate supporter of Pittsburgh sports teams.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 3–7 PM at O’Brien’s Funeral Home, 3724 California Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Emsworth–Regina Coeli Parish. Interment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
