Walter Dennis John

Walter “Dennis” John, born May 17, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA, died on January 11th , 2021. He will be
lovingly remembered by his son David (Jennifer) and brother Scott (Ellen). He was preceded in death by
parents Walter Earl and Phyllis Matilda and brother Keith.

Dennis was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan. He had season tickets to the Penguins and never missed a
game. Dennis even took his newborn son to the ’91 Stanley Cup finals, passing on his love of hockey.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dennis would watch every game on TV and then call to discuss Sidney
Crosby’s latest goal.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, February 27th from 12pm to 2pm at O’Brien’s Funeral Home,
3724 California Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
