Terrence Dean Akrie

TERRENCE DEAN AKRIE was born on January 24, 1988 and went to his rest on Friday, May 26, 2023.  He is the son of the late Lawrence David Akrie, Jr. and Aleta Dawn Akrie. 

Terrence attended school in the Penn Hills School District.  In school he ran track, played football, and participated on the fitness team.  After graduation Terrence worked in construction until he got sick.

As a teenager, Terrence fell in love with Jesus and he, with His friend, loved reading the Word of God together and sharing Christ with others in the neighborhood.

Terrence was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Akrie, Jr., brother Timothy, and sister Shana.  He is survived by his grandmother Mrs. Mary Ann McFall, mother Aleta Akrie, brother Sion (wife Jaime and daughter Amaya); sister Tori (children Zechariah and Zari); Brother Lawrence III (children Iesha, Brandon, Merridith, Lawrence IV, Stasha, Sierra, Shakyria, Davonne, & Erica); Sister Michelle (children Steven and Delishia); a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.  He also leaves to mourn his passing, former wife Dominique (her children Keith, Kameah, and Regina.)

Although battling an oppressive illness Terrence was still seeking the face of Jesus, talking about Jesus, and agreeing in prayer to Him. 

Terrence is now free from the pain and suffering he endured the last year of his life!

“(He) fought the good fight, (he) finished the race, he kept the faith.  Finally, there is laid up for him the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will give to (him) on that Day, and not to (him) only, but to all who have loved (Jesus’) appearing.”
