It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved younger sister, Sue Ellen Breidenbach, of Emsworth, Pennsylvania. Sue passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, following health complications related to COPD.
Born on April 18, 1961, Sue was the cherished daughter of Thelma Breidenbach-Woelfel of Ben Avon, Pennsylvania. Siblings Bonny Buxton (Art) Delmont PA. Terri Breidenbach Loop of Avalon. Nancy Crawford (Jim) Pawleys Island, SC. Mother of 3 children: Chris Bennett ( Jasmine) granddaughter Payton, Erica Hindman grandson Kavan, Rian Hindman (Candi) granddaughter (Annabella). 7 nieces and nephews.
Sue, a proud 1979 graduate of Avonworth High School, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, adventure, and kindness.
During her high school years, Sue was an active member of the band, where she played the trumpet. She went on to further her education at Robert Morris College. Sue later built a career she was incredibly proud of as an owner/operator truck driver, traveling across the United States—most often making her way to Idaho. She loved sharing photos and stories from the road, giving others a glimpse into the life she cherished.
Sue was a devoted fan of Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Pittsburgh Pirates, always up to date on standings and game highlights. She also followed NASCAR with enthusiasm. In her quieter moments, Sue enjoyed carousel horses and had a special fondness for Tweety Bird.
One of her favorite simple pleasures was a meal from Sir Pizza—especially enjoying “the missing piece” when a pizza was delivered. Sue had a wonderful sense of humor, often sharing jokes and thoughts on Facebook, and anyone who spoke with her knew to expect at least two follow-up phone calls.
She embraced life fully and appreciated each day she was given. Sue was also an administrator for several Facebook groups, where she took pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly. Known for her knowledge and generosity, she was always willing to help others—whether it was offering advice or assisting with filing taxes.
Sue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Per Sue’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Cremation services have been entrusted to O’Brien’s Funeral Home.
Watch over us Sue. #13 No Destination.
