Sr. Grace Marie Josette, l.s.p. (Luen-Fong Lui) died at home at the Little Sisters of the Poor on November 18, 2021. Born July 21, 1939 in Hong Kong. Sr. Grace came to the United States in 1964. Earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1967 then in May of 1972 a Master of Science in Social Administration. After this she entered the Little Sisters of the Poor, making her First Vows in 1985 and her Perpetual Vows in 1990. Sr. Grace served in many Homes in the USA. Her final Mission was here in Pittsburgh where she served with love, zeal, respect, and joy since 2012. Sister’s own words best describe the way of living the beauty of a Little Sister of the Poor’s vocation. “It is not just feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, attending the sick and consoling the sorrowful, but to accompany the Residents, to walk with empathy this last path of their life that the Lord designs for them.” Sr. Grace’s devotion was to make the Father’s Name known and loved. May this gentle soul rest in Peace. Wake and viewing Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 in the Gloria Chapel from 2 to 8 pm. With Rosary and Evening Prayer beginning at 4:00 pm. Masks are required. Monday, November 22, 2021, there will be Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Masks are required. Friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Sr. Grace’s life.
