Shirley Christine Csurilla, gained her angel wings on May 25th, 2025. She passed peacefully in the presence of her beloved family.
Shirley was born to Charles Hirt and Emma Muckle on December 21st, 1943. Shirley was a loved member of her community by many neighbors, and friends. Shirley was married to the late Charles Sauter, and is now rejoined with him in heaven.
She was a devoted mother to Ken Csurilla,(Karen Csurilla), and Jennifer Fleischer, (Bryan Fleischer). A loved grandmother to her grandchildren, Kenny Csurilla, Kalah Csurilla, (Tom Davis), Ellie Fleischer, Aaron Fleischer, and Max Fleischer. Shirley had her first great grand child on the way, Adalyn Jane, who she couldn’t wait to meet.
Shirley was the only sister out of five brothers, Ronnie, Bob, Rich, Bill, and Chuck. Survived by loved sister in laws, Dorothy, and Donna Hirt. Shirley had many nieces and nephews who she adored.
Above all else, Shirley was never without a contagious smile on her face, and you could always count on her for a good laugh. In her earlier years she loved going to the casino, cooking, gardening, and spending time at camp with her husband Chuck. She would never pass up a sweet treat, and a good hallmark movie. The last few years of her life was spent closely with her son, Ken, and daughter in law Karen.
Per Shirley’s request, there will be no service, but a celebration of life luncheon with close friends and family will be held at Sunny Jim's Tavern, 255 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15202 on June 7, 2025 from 11AM - 3PM.
