Sherry L. (Persun) Demchsin

Sherry (Persun) Demchsin of Shaler, Pa., formerly of Tarentum, passed away on Tuesday, May 14 after a courageous hard fought year long battle with Bile Duct Cancer. Sherry was the daughter of Melvin and Kathy Persun of Tarentum, Pa. A graduate of Highlands High School, Class of 1987, she also was an undergraduate of the University of Pitt and a Graduate of the National College of Chiropractic. She was currently working with Pulmonary Partners at Passavant Hospital. She was also on the Shaler Lacrosse Board for many years. Her interests were reading, cooking and baking.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband of 24 years Gene and sons, Andrew, Jacob, and Noah, all of Shaler. She is also survived by her brother Jason Persun (Patti) of Plum and sister Michelle (Rich) Harkaway of New Jersey. Also surviving is her in-laws Gene and Marion Demchsin and Tim Demchsin, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by Fraternal Grandparents, Jerome and Fronye Persun and Maternal Grandparents, Andrew and Stephanie Magoc.
