Maureen C. (Casey) Scorpion

On June 9", 2025. age 93. Cherished wife of the late Joseph A. Scorpion; Beloved Mother of Jerrold Scorpion, Mark Scorpion, Elisa Eyer (Mark), and the late Stephen Scorpion. Devoted Grandmother to Steve (Marissa) Scorpion, Julianna Eyer Burns (Jacob), Loving Great-Grandmother to Stevie, Caden, and Rowen Scorpion. Loved Aunt of Laura Yoerg, Daniel Yoerg (Teresa), Karyn Davis (Mark), Kaitlyn and Kyle Davis, Sister-in-Law of William Clifford (late Margaret). Special Cousin of Marguerite Riley.

Maureen worked for many years at the Joseph Horne Co. store downtown, where she made many lifelong friends. She was an excellent cook and baker, and welcomed countless people into her home over the years to enjoy great meals and lively conversation. She was unselfish in her love and support of her family and friends. She was an enthusiastic football/basketball/baseball/theater mom and grandma, never missing a game or a performance.

Many thanks go out to Tamara and Kayla at Dedicated Nursing Associates, AHN Hospice Staff Michelle, Joanne, Donna, and Mercedes, and to our wonderful aides whose extraordinary love and outstanding care made it possible for Maureen to stay happy and healthy at home for the past 2 years: Charlene, Hannah, Belle, Monica, and Shawna. And to Tina-all you did to support Mom and us will never be forgotten.

Family will receive visitors, Friday June 13, 2025 from 3-7PM at O’Brien’s Funeral Home. There will be a Blessing Service at the funeral home, Saturday June 14, 2025 at 9:30AM. Interment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
