Martin Edward Conroy, originally of Pittsburgh, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026. Marty also made his home in San Diego and Punta Gorda before enjoying his retirement.
Marty proudly served his country in the United States Navy and carried that sense of dedication and integrity throughout his life. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career in the grocery industry, serving as Bakery Manager for Shop ’n Save and later as Assistant Bakery Manager for Publix. He was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and the friendships he formed along the way.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kris (Scheller) Conroy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin V. Conroy and Cora Adler; his sister, Jacqueline Conroy; and his in-laws, Thomas and Delores Scheller.
Marty is survived by his loving daughter, Shauna (Ryan) Cooper; his cherished grandchildren, Nathan Cowle and Rylan Cooper; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Betty Scheller; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tami and Derrick Glasper; his sister-in-law, Chelle Conroy; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Marty will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories shared by those who loved him. There are no visitations, arrangements were handled by O’Brien’s Funeral Home.
