On Saturday, May 8, 2021, Joseph R. Stiger found his way back home. Survived by his 3 children Kimberly(Ronald) Smith; Joseph (Whitney) Stiger; Lisa (Christopher) Cannon. His beloved grandchildren; Colin, Ronnie, Elizabeth, Colby, Carter, Abram, Sebastian, Paisley, and Colton. His siblings; his sister whom he adored Anita (Ed) Stengel and his brothers Robert (Michelle) Stiger, John (Dottie) Stiger; Ronald (Gina) Stiger and many nieces and nephews. Joe was also survived by one of his mentors and Uncles Thomas (Lynda) Stiger. He was preceded by his parents Joseph and Eileen ( McBurney) Stiger and his granddaughter Emma Jane Smith. Joe was a Certified Welding Inspector who enjoyed an over 30 year career that took to work on the Eiffel Tower and Brooklyn Bridge and dozen of other places in between. Joe loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the city of Pittsburgh. Joe was a devoted pappy and cherished his grandchildren. Joe lived his life much like the song My Way by Frank Sinatra, he lived his life to the fullest and by his own accord. His children were his pride and joy and he will truly be missed. Family will receive visitors Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8PM at O’Brien’s 3724 California at Cooper Aves., N.S. Funeral Mass in Christ Our Savior—St. Cyril of Alexandria Friday 10:30AM.
