John “Jack” R. Carothers, Jr., 76, of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jack was raised in Brighton Heights and spent most of his adult life in Pine Township, Pennsylvania. In recent years, he enjoyed wintering in Sarasota, Florida, where he passed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Carothers, Sr. and Martha (Hailstone) Carothers, brothers-in-law Eugene (surviving spouse Diana) Zupko and John Zupko, Jr.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Zupko) Carothers; his children, Matthew (Pam) Carothers and Alicia (Erik) Hoolahan; and his cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey, and Andrea Carothers, and Kaden, Kendall, and Alex Hoolahan. He will be especially missed by his loyal companion, Archie.
He is also survived by his siblings, Marcia (George) Schmidt, Rick (Michele) Carothers, and Sharon (Allen) Myers; his brother-in-law, Robert (Donna) Zupko; and many loving nieces and nephews.
