Janet R. (Smith) Roper

On Thursday, February 23, 2023 our dear mother Janet R. Roper passed away peacefully at the age of 78. Loving Mother of Sharon (Steve) Brooks of Moon Twp., PA, and William (Teresa) Roper II of Freedom, PA. Proud Grandma to Rae Brooks, Lucas Brooks and Cody Roper. Daughter to the late Raymond J. and LaVerne (Blanchard) Smith. Sister of Ronald C. (Patricia) Smith and the late Robert L. Smith, James R. Smith and Patricia A. Ball. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Janet loved being around other people and made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed traveling with her late sister. Some of their travel adventures included Ireland, Utah, cruise to Mexico, train trip from Colorado to California. She found joy in listening to good ole’ country music.

Family will receive visitors Monday, 1-3PM & 5-7PM at O’Brien’s 3724 California at Cooper Aves., N.S. where there will be a Blessing Service Tuesday, 10AM. Interment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, 204 Cemetery Ln, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
