Helen Z. "Ginger" Furman

Age 86, of Pittsburgh passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 27, 2023 with family by her side. Ginger was born May 23, 1936, to Fredrick and Kathleen (Harrigan) Zurcher. Ginger graduated from Oliver HS in 1954, and married her high school sweetheart, the late George J. Furman in 1958. Ginger leaves behind her brothers, Fredrick Zurcher, and Jim Zurcher; children, George Furman Jr. (Mary), Gwen Kelley, and Gail Frack (Gordon); grandchildren, Chris Kelley, Jake Furman (Caroline), Jess Bennett (Josh), Ginger Baker (Bill), Lindsay Furman (Blake), Gordon Frack (Emily), and Abby Furman; great- grandchildren, Charlie, Aubryn, Ruth, and Eden. Ginger was a faithful and devoted follower of Jesus her Savior, and a long-time member of Allegheny Center Alliance Church in Pittsburgh where she served behind the scenes and taught Sunday school to children until the age of 82. She was a wonderful mother who loved spending time with her family. A Memorial service is planned at ACAC for Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11am.
