Harry D. Rush Jr., age 76, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 5, 2026. Born on March 20, 1950. He was the beloved son of the late Harry Dudley Rush and Marie (Mulvey) Rush. He was a devoted brother to Terence (Cynthia) Rush and John (the late Carol) Rush, a deeply cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews, and a wonderful cousin and friend to many.
Reunited in peace with his parents, Harry's warmth and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A graduate of Penn State University,Harry valued education and was a lifelong learner. He built a distinguished career as an explosives engineer, earning the respect of colleagues for his expertise, dedication, and professionalism. He approached his work with intelligence, curiosity and a steadfast commitment to excellence.
A devout Catholic, Harry’s faith was the foundation of his life. He lived with humility, compassion and gratitude finding strength and comfort in his beliefs and quietly sharing that example with those around him. Proud of his Irish heritage, he carried a deep appreciation for the traditions, resilience and sense of family that were such an important part of his identity. His love of nature, easygoing disposition and gentle spirit touched all who knew him.
Family and friends can meet at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church - Christ Our Savior Parish Wednesday, 10AM for a funeral mass. Interment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
