Gary J. Chegas Jr.

Gary J. Chegas, Jr., 66, of Neville Island passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on November 25, 2023. Known to his family and friends as Moe, he was born December 8, 1956 to Gary J. and Dolores L. (Bieller) Chegas in Bellevue, PA. Moe retired from a longtime career at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Coraopolis, PA. He is survived by his wife Valerie Winter, his children Tyler J. Chegas and Brandi Rae Chegas, his siblings, Laura (Richard) Clancy, Lynn (Ron) Wolske and Chris Chegas, his grandchildren, Ryan Jr.,  Zayden and Za'Ryah, mother in law, Charlotte Chrestay, sister in law Deborah Yaras and many nieces and nephews. He was a true Steeler fan, a man of few words with a heart of gold. Funeral arrangements are private by O'Brien's Funeral Home. The family suggests donations in his name to the Neville Island VFD Station 205, 5300 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225.
