Curtis H. (Cogswell) Staab

Curtis H. Staab of Ross Twp. On Saturday, June 7, 2025. Beloved Curtis H. Staab, age 90 years old, of Ross Township, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  She was born on March 19, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Beloved Wife of the late George J. Staab Sr. Her parents were Curtis H. and Winfred (Kelly) Cogswell. She had 5 sisters Winifred Breisch, Mary Elizabeth Cogswell, Margaret Dillion, Ruth F. Morgan, Ora Mae Hoetzlein. Loving mother of George J. (Betty) Staab Jr., Winnie Staab, Mary Pat (Fred) Steinmiller, Teresa Davidson, William Staab, Ruth Ann (David) Knaus, and Christine Staab. She has 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, she has several nieces, nephews, and cousins that she is survived by.

Curtis was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church – Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, in Ross Twp. She was a devout and devoted woman of faith, and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who lived for her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the greatest source of joy and proud of all. She had a wonderful career as an RN nurse. She will be greatly missed.

Family will receive visitors Thursday 3-7PM at O’Brien’s Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Friday, 11:30AM in St. Teresa of Avila Church – Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Interment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Animal Friends of Pittsburgh.
